The Johnstown Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department is an all volunteer department that serves the citizens of the Johnstown Fire Protection District by responding to fire, medical and other emergencies. The District covers approximately 60 square miles and is comprised of agricultural, rural, surburban and industrial areas. The Department responds to approximately 600 calls a year from its one fire station that is located in the Town of Johnstown. In addition to emergency response services, the Johnstown Fire & Rescue Department also provides a fire safety education program which contacts several hundred citizens annually, most of which are our community's children.
